Privacy Policy
Last updated: March 31, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Vivid collects, uses, and protects information when you use the Vivid website, desktop application, and related services.
1. Information We Collect
We may collect information you provide directly to us, such as your email address, account details, billing details, and messages you send to support.
We may also collect product and operational data needed to run the service, such as authentication events, subscription state, basic analytics, job metadata for cloud features, and security logs.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve Vivid
- Authenticate users and secure accounts
- Process billing, subscriptions, and invoices
- Respond to support requests and product feedback
- Monitor service reliability, abuse, and fraud
3. Desktop Processing and Local Files
Vivid is designed around local desktop workflows. When you use local processing features, your source media and output files are intended to stay on your machine unless you explicitly use a cloud feature or integration that requires upload.
If you use a cloud-backed workflow, only the data required to perform that workflow should be transmitted to the relevant service.
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with trusted service providers that help us operate Vivid, such as hosting, payments, authentication, analytics, storage, and customer support providers.
We may also disclose information when required by law or when reasonably necessary to protect users, the service, or our rights.
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect the information we store. No internet-based service can guarantee absolute security, but we work to limit access, reduce exposure, and respond quickly to security issues.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete certain personal information. You may also have the right to object to or limit some processing activities.
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the date on this page and revise the policy text accordingly.
